Colleen has been riding and competing in hunter/jumpers for over twenty years. During the past three years, she has expanded her equine activities to include foxhunting with Metamora and Waterloo Hunt Clubs as well as competing in eventing, hunter trials and endurance riding. Colleen has taken many clinics with upper level trainers including four time Olympic gold medalist Robert Gage, Olympic trainer and Rolex competitor Waylon Roberts and CCI** eventing trainer Erin Strader. She has also traveled all the way to Ireland to take a full day cross country clinic with James Tonery of Cooper's Hill Equine. Locally, she continues to train under a Grand Prix dressage and jumping trainer.

Colleen has logged over 300 trail miles in the last two years and believes that a well-trained horse must be just as comfortable outside of the arena as inside of it. She specializes in teaching impeccable ground manners, lunging, desensitization in the arena and on the trail, control and confidence on the trail and teaching a horse to have a balanced W/T/C under saddle. If your horse is already going W/T/C, Colleen can also start their jumping career correctly.

In the past few years, she has broadened her training to work with people as well as horses. It is Colleen’s goal for you and your horse to understand and enjoy each other in and out of the saddle!
